Welcome to Max Fubar's American Journal. This site is open for political debate based on fact and not propoganda generated in the mass media for political hacks or corporate interests. If are wondering about the name, it is what I see happening in the nation today, where rights and freedoms are being curtailed for supposed safety, but remember our founding fathers warned us against giving up our rights because soon after we end up with no rights and no freedoms. Remember that every nation starts in the cause of liberty, but in the end all nations fall to tyranny.
The Roman Republic started out that way, former slaves who overthrew thier masters and build a nation based on certain rights and responsibilites, only to be politically subverted through corruption and the need for the citizen of the Republic to feel safe, even when the outside agressor was an internal creation. Today, the United States of America faces a similar set of issues that faced the Romans, where the wealth generated by war drove the economy of Rome to new heights and was used as justification for building an empire that contained people's from all over Europe, North Africa and the Near East. That empire created opportunies for many, but was controlled by a very few who degenerated into war lords that felt they earned the right to dictate to others based on their fortunes that they acquired through nefarious means.
Today we see the same things happening in our nation, and there are internal and external forces at work to create a unified planetary government that lays waste to our beloved American ideals, by superceding them and excluding the very citizens they seek to control through the perception of benefit that is doled out and metered by those who gain the most from this melding of the planet's governments into a single entity. The thought here is a posh and comfortable prison is still a prison. Wealth should not dictate liberty, our abilities should. There are those who wish to not only control the wealth of the planet for themselves, but ensure that all others are excluded from ever reaching the point where they can displace those already at the top. As with Rome, we know what happens when you dont turn over the top players in wealth and politics, we degenerate into small things with small lives of little meaning or substance. Those with the wealth that would last many lifetimes seek the ultimate, power to dictate life or death on a whim and their whim being the only factor. Now let's discuss how we can remain true to our American ideals without subjecting ourselves to the foibles that every failed nation state has suffered. Those who suffered most were the average person, though the wealthy ones might bemoan that they too had suffered, not being able to do as they please or when they pleased. The facts are folks, we are on the edge of world wide change, yet we still have the power to control what happens to us, rather than having someone else decide for us.
